This is one of the stories that I'm happiest about writing, but I've hit a roadblock of some sorts.  I've given some thought about betas and what-not, but I'm worried about working w/ someone because I don't want their corrections to completely overrule what I want for the story.  I don't want to have to write the story in a way where I lose what I actually wanted to write out.

It's a little hard to explain.  Maybe it's because I haven't read enough books in the past 2 years or so.  Writing's harder when there isn't much deposited in the vocabulary bank.

I don't think it's disheartening to read the excellent fanfic written about Heero and Relena.  It's just that I don't know where to place myself when I'm writing them.  The amount of detail and thought that those writers put into their stories... do they actually write notes?  What about outlines?  Do they also seek outside sources to keep their plots so tight?  How many times did they really watch the series?  Perhaps I should acquire the boxset of Gundam Wing myself... It's always been my intention, and it's not the desire that's lacking: it's the money to buy it.  It always is.

Somehow, I feel like even writing 'romance' seems frivolous if it meant disregarding the Preventers, UESA...

I don't know what I'm really saying, actually.  I just know that it's a little confusing where to place myself when I write them.  I'd like to be able to say that whatever I write and the ones that I do put out there, I want to be happy w/ it and I want readers to be happy with it while taking into account that there's no pleasing everyone.
